I lost 105 lbs. for surgery and a healthier future, hoped writing this blog would help me stay focused. The slideshow shows me from my highest of 322 pounds down to 211 pounds. Since my retirement and cancer diagnosis, weight has crept back. I focused on the cancer in 2010-11. Well, now it's Spring of 2015 and I have regained almost all the weight, back up to 284. I guess I should change the title to Weight Loss Journey AGAIN.

So much to write about, so little time
We have had a wonderful visit out here in California, but the internet has made it frustrating. I am currently at Evey's apartment, using her internet.
Mark and I spent a fabulous day in Old Sacramento as well as an excellent day in Monterey. We've had fun with Evey for two straight days also. Yesterday we took her to the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco as well as out to an excellent Mexican restaurant for dinner. Today she was unexpectedly off work, so we hung out with her in her apartment all day. We did some laundry, some grocery shopping, had a Subway lunch, swam in her pool, played some video games, and mailed some packages at the local post office. It's been fabulous just having time with her. It's so hard to believe that in less than three weeks, the long-anticipated wedding will be over! She showed us all the fun shore excursions they are going to do on their honeymoon cruise to Spain, France, and Italy. It sure looks like a trip of a lifetime.
I've included a few photos of our trip to Monterey with my friends Kelly and Laverne, as well as some of Old Sacramento, which was amazing. Mark and I are going to go back next Labor Day Weekend for the Gold Rush Days. That way we can tack it on to another visit to Evey and Eric! If we time it right, we might be here on their first wedding anniversary.
