Back to Normal? If only....

Yesterday was very low key, especially compared to the 9 in 9 quest.  We had been on the go for about six straight days, so it was nice to relax yesterday.  After our morning blood draw, we had breakfast at Denny's before heading home to take care of those little chores that had been building up.  I wrote yesterday's blog, put up the final album of pictures of the last two theme parks, made a special album of all 9 parks for Facebook, did some banking business, and read a book, among other things.  It was a lovely day that ended with a fabulous dinner party at our neighbor's home to see their new lanai.  It's spectacular!  Even though we live next door and heard/saw the construction process, we had NO IDEA how truly beautiful it is inside.  Everyone was just wowed by it.  We also had such a good time just enjoying conversation with our neighbors. I haven't been able to play Mah Jongg in a long time, so it was good to catch up with everyone.  As Mark and I were walking home, he said, "Boy, we sure do have nice neighbors."  Yup!  He's right.

So relaxing is over!  Today we are NOT doing a theme park, but we are leaving the house at 8:45 a.m. and not returning until about 10 p.m.  WHAT?  That's crazy.  Yeah, it is.

We have our monthly NARFE meeting in Plant City at 10 a.m., so we have to head out early.  Then we decided to go to the Lakeland Art Museum before coming  home.  THEN, Mark got an offer to go to the newest Disney movie, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, for FREE at Downtown Disney because he's a D23 Gold member.  It starts at 7 p.m., so we're going from the museum to DTD for dinner out and then to the movie.  It will be another long but fabulous day.

From Friday at sundown through Saturday at sundown is Yom Kippur, the most difficult, solemn day on the Jewish Calendar.  I will write more about it tomorrow morning, but the short version is that we are using DVC points to stay two nights in a 1 BR villa at the Grand Floridian during the holiday.  The past two years we stayed at All Star Sports on Florida resident rates because it's just too far to drive back and forth from the synagogue to our house.  It's so much nicer to drive to Disney World instead!  This time we will have a full kitchen, so instead of eating out for the big meal before the day and the break the fast afterwards, Mark will cook in the kitchen.  That's going to be very, very nice.  He already made a low-carb honey cake yesterday for us to take with us.

Time to eat breakfast and head out to Plant City.  Have a great day wherever you may be.
