More Aulani pictures.

We had a great time today at the first day of D23.  We aren't allowed to take pictures in the main sessions, so that keeps the number of photos way down.  There is lots of sitting and waiting at a D23 convention.  We arrived at 6:15 a.m. and sat in a queue until 9:30 to go to a Muppet presentation at 10.  It was a fabulous hour.  We grabbed a quick lunch, bought some new luggage, and sat for two and a half hours in a queue for our second and final session of the day.  This was to see John Lassiter, Chief Creative Office  of the Disney animation and Pixar division.  We have gone to his sessions every time we've been here.  He always does a great session and tells us about the new movies coming up.  In addition he brings out the directors and some stars from all of the new shows. Zootopia is coming out soon, and Jennifer Goodwen (Snow White on Once Upon a Time) is the voice of the main character.  We saw  Ellen DeGeneres and three other voices from Finding Dory were there. We saw Duane, the Rock, Johnson because he is playing the demigod Maui in Moana.  The Lopez pair (Frozen composers) performed one of the songs from Gigantic.  Also Randy Newman came out and sang and played "You've Got a Friend in Me" as a tribute to the Toy Story franchise and advertise the new one, Toy Story 4.  Awesome session.  We saw the new short film, Riley's Date, featuring the Inside Out characters.  There is also The Good Dinosaur  and Coco coming soon.  There was so much it's hard to mention it all.
