Happy Hanukkah and Happy Thanksgiving

This is the rarest of rare days.  The first day of Hanukkah is today and so is Thanksgiving.  It happened only once before, in 1888, and won't happen again for over 79 THOUSAND years.  I guess we had all better enjoy it while we can!  LOL!

Our day was fantastic yesterday and went off without a hitch.  We loved the new Disney film, Frozen, and I highly recommend it to everyone.  The music and visuals are all outstanding. It's certainly a worthy addition to the library of beautiful Disney animated films.

We had a small glitch when we drove to Rita's and found it was gone.  A second of disappointment and then we drove off to Private Island Ice Cream for a delicious dessert.  In the afternoon, Evey and I decorated the house with the few Hanukkah decorations we found.  We even found a few turkeys and pilgrims to hang up!  Mark finished wrapping the last of his things for us, so our dining room table was piled high with gifts.  I talked Evey into singing all six songs with me at Mosaics, which was a real treat for me.  Our family was asked to come up at the menorah and sing the blessings outside, too.  The evening there was delightful.

When we got home, Evey used a box (Curly Baker is always horrified by that!) to bake a dozen Hanukkah cookies. We will decorate them today.  We had our candles and presents.  A lovely evening!

I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday wherever you are.
