We had an excellent day yesterday. We enjoyed the food from four kiosks at Epcot: Hawaii, Greece, Ireland, and Japan, as well as the Refreshment Port. We went to the movies in Canada and France, walked all the way around the World Showcase, and strolled through the Mexico pavilion. It was a lot of fun.
Then we enjoyed our blackened salmon dinner at House of Blues! It was an even better dinner than I expected to get. And my plan worked perfectly! The dinner allowed us a special ticket to get in the priority entrance lane. Granted we were at the BACK of that line, hundreds of people in front of us. I really don't know how they got their priority entrance because they were NOT in the restaurant eating dinner with us, that's for sure. Whatever! The regular entrance line went all the way from House of Blues, along the lake in back, down to the balloon ride. Crazy.
So when we finally got let in, we were early enough to get one of the couches lining the wall upstairs. The show was sold out, so it was packed downstairs. The main floor looked like a mosh pit! LOL! Every chair with a view of the stage was already taken by the time we got in, but we got a couch! We loved it. There was absolutely no view of the stage from there, but we didn't care. The sound there was excellent and not too loud. Every now and then, we just took turns getting up and standing behind people for a view of the performers. All in all, I think Mark loved his early Hanukkah present!
Today we have Carlos from Mr. Handy Solutions coming to take us to Lowes to pick up tiles for the shower remodel and a new toilet, along with some other smaller items. I hope to have all this work, which includes a new toilet with handicap grab bars in the master bath, a whole new fancy all glass shower in our bathroom, a new door handle on the lanai door, five new pot lights in the kitchen, and resealing the other two toilets, all done before Evey and Eric get here for Thanksgiving! Very exciting.
Tonight's rehearsal for Starliters begins at 5 p.m. Very early, but it is going to start off with two hours of solo auditions. There are so many solos for this concert that it will take three Mondays in a row to cover all of them. I plan to audition for a couple of the ones that are up for tonight. I hope my voice holds out, and the cold that seems to be trying to get started stays away!
