Easy Thursday

Today we had a lovely, low-key day.  The most we did was go to the local kosher store which also now serves food inside like a little kosher restaurant.  Evey had falafel and Mark and I had a hamburger with fries.  Delicious.  We bought some kosher chicken breasts and challah for tomorrow night's dinner.  Then we did more ambitious shopping at the regular grocery store.

I'm now trying to binge watch the ten episodes of The Handmaid's Tale because Evey has HuLu and we do not.  I watched three episodes today.  Mark is making linguine Alfredo with tons of veggie in it, so dinner will be magnificent.

Eric is planning to make a fire tonight in the outdoor fireplace. Maybe we'll make S'mores!

Meanwhile here are some more pictures! We had a great time at the Stanford University art museums yesterday, so there are lots of pictures from that as well as more of Evey and Kiwi.

Evey is wearing her new Stitch t-shirt that we brought her.

Father-daughter bonding over some Disney videos on YouTube.

Horse looks like driftwood but is bronze.

We came here especially to see the actual Golden Spike from Promontory Point in Utah where the two trains met.  Leland Stanford, founder of this University, was part of that ceremony.

I had this Polaroid Land Camera for a long time.  Sad when stuff you have had and used is now a museum piece.  Talks about feeling old.

And here's Mark with his Selectric typewriter.

Evey checking out the one Picasso in the museum.

Evey with a Madonna in memory of my Aunt Evelyn.  Aunt Evelyn loved Madonnas and collected lots of them.
