Happy Fourth of July

Hopefully, anyone reading this blog has lovely plans to celebrate this national holiday.

Our plans are to have a low key day at home.  Friends Ed and Barbara from half mile up on our street will be joining us around 4 p.m.  We plan to play some games and then eat an early dinner.  Our menu is hot dogs with chili and other fixin's with corn on the cob provided by us and potato salad and a dessert of Angel cake with fresh strawberries provided by Barb.  We will watch the musical 1776 while we eat.  They have never seen it before, so it's about time!

Weight report: 283.4, which is down some.  I'm happy.  I'm down five pounds since the last blog that i wrote and down seven since we got back from MD.  I suspect today might set me back a pound or two, but then I will be eating at home until we get on the train on Monday, July 10 for the cross-country trip to CA to visit Evey and Eric.

Meanwhile between the last blog and this one, Lowell and Emily were here for six days.  It was AWESOME.  We had a ton of fun.  Here are some pictures from the first three days with them.  I'll put up the other pictures over the next few days

They arrived Saturday and we spent the afternoon at the pool and the evening watching the movie Hidden Figures.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of any of that.  Sunday we went to Tropicana Field to see the Orioles play the Tampa Bay Rays.

Great seats down front near home plate with friends Bob and Jane.  We all routed for the Os!  They won 8-5, which they also won by the same score the Sunday before when we were at Camden Yards with Lowell and Emily.  What a crazy coincidence.

Monday we went to Epcot.  Everyone else went to ride Test Track, but I went to visit  my good friends!

Then we all met up in The Land pavilion to ride this.  Since the new film premiered, this is Lowell and Emily's first time.

Ready to ride Soarin'.  Later they rode Living' with the Land, too.

Journey into Imagination.  First time for Emily.

Playing with the stuff after the ride.
Playing with the outdoor water blobs for old times' sake.

Enjoying the DVC member lounge above the Journey into imagination pavilion.

in the Mexico pavilion.

After the Mexico boat ride we all enjoyed some tequila in the Tequila Bar.  It was delicious.
Standing outside the Stave Church in Norway in Epcot.  Evey and Eric are actually IN Oslo on this very day and went to an actual Stave church.  This is a great rendition of one.

Outside Disney's version of Akershus Castle.  Evey and Eric were at the real one.

We went from tequila in Mexico to Aquavite in Norway.  Drinking our way around the world.

Standing in the Norway gift shop with a man from Oslo who used to be a palace guard at the real Akershus Caste.  Cool.
Ended the day with dinner in here and then we checked into our one bedroom  villa at the DVC Villas at the Grand Floridian.  So much fun.
