Visit with Randy and now 48 hours of TV

Mark and I have been incredibly busy with cruising and company.  Yesterday we had a fabulous time with Randy B, who is visiting the area with his wife.  While she was busy working, we showed Randy all that our neighborhood had to offer.   Many of you have already seen it: the Monument of States, the Lake Toho park and statues nearby the monument, the airboat ride and holding the baby gator, and finally our Solivita area and house.  It was a blast.

Today we are binge-watching TV for two full days.  Neither of us plans to get dressed.  Soon I'm pulling out the TV room sleep sofa and we are going to park ourselves on it in front of the big TV and just try to clear out the DVR!  We keep trying to catch up after all our cruising weeks, but as much as we've been able to watch with company here, even more keeps getting recorded.  On Thursday we are leaving for a month, so Mark wants it cleared as much as possible before he starts recording more yet again.  Today is the day for that.

Also today at 2 p.m. is the ceremonial start of the Iditarod sled dog race.  We will also watch that, AND he rented our Disney movie and a Star Trek movie to watch this weekend.  Wow!  We will be completely immobile in front of that TV for two whole days.  I'm actually looking forward to it.

Meanwhile, here are some more photos from our visit with Dave and Evey and yesterday with Randy.

On Tuesday we went to the opening day game of Spring Training, Orioles v. Tigers at the Tigers' stadium in Lakeland.

Great view along the first base line.  Unfortunately the Os lost 15-2.

On their last full day with us, we went to the airboat ride.

Ready to go on the boat.

We saw the usual size gator that we find out on Lake Toho.

The we saw the MONSTER gator, fifty years old and nearly fifteen feet long.  This picture does NOT do him justice.

Holding Poseidon after the boat ride.

Now Evey and Dave can be on the wall with our other family and friends.
On Friday we took Randy on the airboat ride.

He got to hold Frank!

Close up of Frank.
First we had lunch at Savion's.  Then we walked down to the Monument of States.

Me and Randy at the Monument.
