Heading to BLT

No, not bacon lettuce and tomato!  In Disney parlance BLT is Bay Lake Towers.

Mark and I are checking in for two nights using our DVC points to attend the D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind, a convention for Disney fans, at the Contemporary Resort, conveniently attached to BLT!

This event seems to happen every other year, and it was a lot of fun when we did it before.  Last time we didn't stay on property, but staying there is going to be very cool.

Meanwhile, our house guest started his three day drive home yesterday.  He felt well enough to go to Trails' End buffet at Fort Wilderness for dinner Thursday night and Denny's for breakfast yesterday before heading off.  We wish him well.  He has a urology appointment on Monday, so hopefully he will get a clean bill of health by then.  It sure was a difficult vacation for him.

Mark and I had a lovely time yesterday.  We ate breakfast out at Denny's with our friend, then lunch at Cheek's at the Cove before heading to the library for our volunteer hours, and dinner at Susie and Ed's house.  We even played Rummikub with them and Ed won both games.  So much fun!

Now we are scurrying around trying to pack to head out in about half an hour for the convention.  Registration starts at 8:30.  I am not taking my computer, so I won't be writing another blog until Monday afternoon.  Then Tuesday at 4 a.m. we head to the airport to fly to Seattle for the holiday. I will take my computer on that trip, for sure.
