Start of the work week.

Today is President's Day, so there is no school. Of course, there hasn't been any school in over a week because of the snow, but that's another story. It is the start of the work week for our contractors in the house. They came promptly at 8:30 a.m. as promised and have worked non-stop ever since. It is now 3:15 p.m., snowing outside again. The contractors have stripped all the wallpaper, painted Kills on the panelling, patched all the holes and cracks in the ceilings and floors, and generally gotten a great start on this huge project. Mark and I have holed up in the basement, packing and sorting what feels like thousands of videotapes.

We are getting excited about the progress we have made towards selling the house. Florida is no longer just a some-day-in-the-future dream. The future is right around the corner.

Tomorrow is weigh-in day, and despite the LARGE amount of calories consumed at the restaurant last night on Valentine's Day, I expect a pretty good number tomorrow. I have been very good today, and I have been so very active packing and moving things these last four days that the calories just seem to get burned off. Tomorrow will tell if I'm right or if I'm dreaming.
