Evey-less

We are home from NJ, and Evey is still there. Our house is eerily empty and quiet.

The party on Saturday at the Gaertner's house was fabulous. About 25 people, neighbors and family, were in attendance. Leslie, Evey's future mother-in-law, is an amazing hostess. It was an all day affair with catered food, swimming in the backyard pool, and ending with a fire pit and S'mores. Awesome. Sunday morning Mark and I joined them for a spectacular breakfast featuring homemade waffles. Unbelievable! Leslie is awesome and puts my hostessing skills to shame. Evey will do well to emulate Leslie in the cooking and hostessing department.

Mark said he was very angry with me for eating so much at the party. He's right, of course. I ate way too much at the kosher restaurant Friday night; then turned around and ate a ton of food all day on Saturday. I had at least three brownies, five chocolate chip cookies, and two pieces of cake for dessert. UGH.

For those who would like to see pictures of the event, here is the link to the Picasa web album. Just copy and paste this url.
