WE WON!!!!

On October 9, Mark and I went to the Magic Kingdom for a three hour scavenger hunt, sponsored by the new Solivita Disney Fan Club.  We were paired up with another couple and had 70 questions to answer throughout the park with three hour time limit.  What a blast! Last night we found out our team WON!  We got 69 out of 70 answers right!  No other team even came close.  Our prize was a cute Mickey candle and FORTY Disney dollars!  Of course, we have to share it with the other couple, but still Mark and I can use our twenty dollars for lunch at the park one day.  The other couple wasn't there last night to hear the good news, so Mark will call them today.  We'll deliver their cash prize, and give them the candle.  The club has some fantastic monthly activities at the parks planned, so they are already on our calendar!  THIS is a club Mark can really get into!

He also had his first read-through of the play Laughter on the 23rd Floor yesterday morning.  He is playing Ira Stone, a very funny character.  He was very excited and thinks he's going to have a lot of fun.  I'm excited for him.  I'm doing the props with one other guy.  When Mark showed me the script, I looked at the prop list in the back of the book and was horrified. There are FOUR pages of tiny print of the hundreds of props needed!  I'm going to have my work cut out for me to gather and organize those.  Geez!  Still, it will be fun.

Yesterday I ate exactly what I planned, 1300 calories, and I'm down another few tenths of a pound.  Now if I can only keep my hands off the snacks at the party tonight...  Unfortunately, I never did get to the gym or take a walk.  There was no exercise at all yesterday, but the low calories helped knock that fraction of a pound off.  I will be going grocery shopping with Mark today, so no exercise today either other than strolling through two stores.

We also finished the novel The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.  Today at 4 p.m. is the book talk about it.  The man who gives these talks is always interesting.  He used to be a college professor.  We also have guests coming to an early dinner who will join us later for the wine party.  Another great day is shaping up.  I hope everyone reading this blog has a wonderful day!
